It only hurt when you start pretending it doesn’t. Indeed! And sometimes you need to run away to see who will come after you.
I’ve been experiencing this situation over and over again, when I know in the first place there’s nothing going on anymore between us. Sometimes I expect things too much and beyond on what’s reality. What hurts more is when you have a strong feeling for someone, you gave all but still your time, feelings, and efforts are not appreciated.

Staying up late talking about pointless things in life and laughing about the most random things. Struggling to stay up late but not letting them know how tired you are just to stay on the phone with them, until eventually one of you falls asleep. Just the feeling of having company and having someone to share your late night thoughts with. These conversations are the most unforgettable.
